The old ditch we connected into overflows with the fresh supply of Miller Creek water.  The water makes it past here to the fence on the north side of the field.

Looking into the ditch where it crosses the field road.  This was a minimal diversion of  Miller creek at the sluice gate.

After crossing the field road, the new ditch connects into an old existing ditch to carry water to the north end of the field.

The little Jeep sits where the ditch could maintain the 1% drop and reach the triangular field at it’s highest south end.

Using a laser level, Tony maintained a 1% drop in slop and crossed the field road at the highest point in order to reach the north end of the field and someday reach the triangular field north of that.

Cant see the culvert?

The Culvert is back filled just before the ground froze solid.  The new Culvert flows so much better that I had to put a make shift gate in to stop flow while we finished the ditch.  Now a custom made shut off  for the culvert will be included with the order for a custom made sluice gate.
